Top 10 ways to take advantage of OLBI’s Julien Couture Resource Centre

Recently, the Julien Couture Resource Centre received a little refresher. We took the opportunity to prepare a Top 10 of the best ways to enjoy the Centre. Come and try them out at the Faculty of Arts! The Centre is easily accessible and nestled at the entrance of the Hamelin Pavilion in room MHN 02. It is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, and on Fridays from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.

 

  1. Study in peace! Two super comfy rooms are at your disposal, whether for studying alone or with your team. All you have to do is make a reservation at the front desk! 
  2. Say goodbye to typos! All computers are equipped with the Antidote correction software - the foolproof Anti-Oops! 
  3. Be THE best at your job interviews: come take a look at the textbooks on field-related vocabulary used in your field of work such as “English for Medicine in Higher Education Studies”
  4. It’s showtime! Why not take a break between classes to watch a movie? Documentaries, Canadian, American or French films and even Quebec classics are available! 
  5. Talk the talk! Conversation workshops are a great way to improve your second language. They are offered to students from all programs and super friendly!
  6. Practice makes perfect! A wide range of exercise textbooks are available at all times for students who want to do complementary exercise for their learning experience. 
  7. No more running around campus looking for a printer! There is one available at the Julien Couture Resource Centre. 
  8. Looking for gossip? Maybe for some scientific facts? Good thing that the Centre is subscribed to a lot of magazines of all kinds.   
  9. You teach? In addition to the "Learning" section for student, there is a "Teaching" section. Teachers, teaching assistants and second language teaching students are welcome! 
  10. Have a chat with Paco, the Documentalist and Manager of the JCRC as well as his team! They are very welcoming and always ready to help you!
