Dr. Beverly Baker is an internationally recognized researcher in the fields of language assessment and language teacher development. She is an Associate Professor at the Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute (OLBI) in the Faculty of Arts, where she also serves as the Director of the Language Assessment Sector and Director of the Language Assessment Research Group. Dr. Baker’s innovative research agenda is substantially advancing knowledge in her field. She works tirelessly to support her academic community. Nationally, she is a founding member and was Vice President of the Canadian Association of Language Assessment (CALA). At the international level, she is a member of the Editorial Board of Assessing Writing and has served on the Executive Board of the International Language Testing Association as well as on numerous committees.
