Like all of you, we are closely monitoring the evolution of the global impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19). We adhere to the measures taken by the University of Ottawa to insure the health and safety of our students, employees and partners, as well as the completion of the current academic year. Below is a list of the measures that are currently in place. The situation is fluid and we ask that you please visit the uOttawa coronavirus website regularly for further updates.
All classes are cancelled on Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17, and all classes and exams will be held online starting Wednesday, March 18 until the end of the semester. Professors and instructors will be in touch with their students with all the details, if they have not been already.
The International Office is offering an in person OR online information session for international students in order to provide information on the continuation of the session and the coming weeks. Please contact uointl@uOttawa.ca if you have any questions.

All members of the administrative staff will work from home as of Monday, March 16, except those whose duties are essential to the continued operations of the campus. Employees will have access to their work e-mail and will be able to respond to messages.
Cancellations and closures
The following is a list of ILOB activities that are cancelled or postponed:
- CCERBAL 2020 Conference
The CCERBAL 2020 Conference will be postponed to a future date in 2021. For the time being, we will reimburse all participants who have already registered. We will communicate the new Conference details as soon as possible and reopen registration in 2021.
- Arts in April
The Faculty of Arts is postponing all its Arts in April activities to a later unspecified date. The OLBI student showcases are cancelled.
- OLBI Research Forum – March 27, 2020
The Forum entitled: The need for evidence-based strategies to navigate the changed linguistic landscapes in education by Emmanuelle Le Pichon-Vorstman, University of Toronto will be postponed to a later date. Please refer to the OLBI Research Forum website for future updates.
- Julien-Couture Resource Centre
The Julien-Couture Resource Centre will be closed until further notice. Note that some online resources can be accessed through the KOHA platform.
