Profil de compétences professionnelles des professeurs de français L2
Having recognized the need to support the professional training and continuing education of teachers of French as a second language (FLS) who work with new immigrants, CIC contracted the Estrie Language School and OLBI, its associated partner, to establish a professional language competency profile for FLS teachers in Ontario. This includes developing a series of self-evaluation tools for these skills.
This initiative, called Profil de compétences professionnelles des professeurs de français L2, is unique in that it teams up public and private sector institutions in the language teaching and pedagogy business.
It will allow OLBI to enhance and extend the reach of its expertise in evaluating teaching material, allowing for knowledge transfer not only in the learning environment of newcomers to Canada, but also in their integration into Canadian society.
