Dr. Sylvie Lamoureux, Associate Professor of bilingualism studies and second-language teaching at the Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute (OLBI) is the OLBI Research Chair in Language Management. Her research focuses on the management of Canada's official languages, factors which influence French-speakers in a minority context, and questions of student access, experience, and success. Dr. Lamoureux has a been very successful in attaining external funding, and in 2015 she was named to the Order of Ontario and the Royal Society of Canada's College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists, in addition to winning the Faculty of Arts Emerging Researcher of the Year Award.
