Roger Farley came into office in early November as Executive in Residence. He will work partly for OLBI and partly for the Centre for Continuing Education.
As the former Executive Director of Health Canada’s Official Language Community Development Bureau, his significant leadership and intercultural communication skills will be valuable addition to our team. Before joining Health Canada he was Director in the Official Languages Support Programs at Canadian Heritage. His numerous contacts within the Federal Government will be helpful in developing projects to promote second language teaching.
Roger received the Public Service Award of Excellence from the Clerk of the Privy Council in 2011 for Service to Canadians. He is an engaged volunteer in the community and is past-president of the Maison de la francophonie d’Ottawa.
Please join us in welcoming Roger. We wish him all the best in his endeavours at OLBI!
